Kosar to be President of Operations?

Tony Rizzo read an email on The Really Big Show yesterday that Shaver Sports agrees with. The emailer felt that KNR and a lot of callers had become "Kosar honks" and were really pushing for Bernie to become President of Football Operations. The emailer concluded with the fact that they dont want to Kosar's good name in this town to go down in flames.

AGREED.

BK is a legendary figure in this town. For an average QB, with a sidearm delivery, slow feet, and 1 Pro Bowl Appearance on his resume, he is the best QB a generation of Browns fans have ever seen. His Career seems to get better the longer the Browns struggle.

Why would Bernie want to take this risk? He knows how quickly the Browns fans can turn on anyone. Our Pro Bowl QB from last year cant get out of town fast enough.

As a Kosar fan, I think Bernie should stay in the Owners box as an invited guest, not as Top Man.

Really Big Rumors...

Heard this morning on Tony Rizzo's Really Big Show, that there are many, many rumors going around about a Cleveland Legend coming back to save our beloved Brownies. Rizzo and Hammer discussed Pro Football Talk.com's article on Savage being shown the door and Kosar coming in not as Head Coach, or GM, but as Prez of Football Operations. Could his Worst to Playoffs run with the Gladiators and close personal relationship with Browns owner Randy Lerner translate to a stint in the front office in Berea?
Bernie Kosar himself came on the air himself to quell any rumors. Kosar avoided any talks of taking a job with the Browns, but did have interesting things to say about Romeo and Phil. Kosar said "with a head coach, their record says it all". Translation- Romeo should pack his bags. He also said that it is not always record that sinks the GM. Translation- Bernie and Top Men still like Savage and he may be around for a little while longer.

Kenny Roda Predicts Kosar Will Buy if Randy Sells

On 'In the Zone' with Kenny Roda yesterday night, Kenny Roda said that he wouldn't be suprised if Bernie Kosar would try to but the Browns in a few years if Randy Lerner chooses to sell.

"If in a few years, Randy Lerner tried to sell the Browns, I wouldn't be suprised if Bernie Kosar and an ownership group tried to buy the Browns. He made a run at it last time, came up a little short, and would probably try again. He is currently paying his dues so to speak as owner of a minor league team, and learning how to run a pro team with his work with the Gladiators, and if Randy tried to sell, mark it down I wouldn't be suprised to see Bernie making a run at it."

Roda also said that during home games Kosar is seen from the press box, in the owners suite, with Randy Lerner, and Phil Savage.

I for one hope that happens. I think we need an owner like a Bernie Kosar in Cleveland. One thing to remember is that Randy Lerner never bought the Browns in the first place. His Dad did, and to be fair to Randy, who says he ever wanted to own the Browns, he just happened to inherit it. He bought it for $660 mil, and it is currently worth $1 billion. I, for one, hope Randy makes the wise business decision and sells the Browns. I, for two, hope Kosar is the guy that buys them.
