A Soldier Deployed: Winslow Traded to TB

Eric Mangini and George Kokinis are cleaning house. The first casualty is TE Kellen Winslow. He was traded today to the Tampa Bay Bucs for undisclosed draft pics.

This move does 4 things for the Browns- hopefully secures them at least 1 draft pick this year, after Phil traded some away last year, gets rid of a clubhouse cancer, will allow for them to play a TE that can actually block, and allows last year's draft pick Martin Rucker to develop.
Can't wait to see who is next....
UPDATE: The trade brings the Browns a 2nd Round pick this year, and a 5th round pick in 2010's draft.

Kyle I agree...this title came straight off the desk of the Top Man...I wish I could reveal who he was, but no names, please.

Contrary to most, I really like this move. Kellen Winslow had definitely worn out his welcome in Cleveland. His constant whining about his contract and bad attitude had become a distraction and cancer in the Browns locker room.

We need players that shut their mouth and play football. These overpaid, egotistical clowns need to check their egos at the door and model their work ethic and attitude after stand-up players like Joe Jurevicius.

I am with you JS...the Kellen Winslow chapter had to close, and I am glad it did. And to your other point, if as a professional Winslow chose to emulate a guy like Joe, instead of a guy like TO, he would have had a lot more than 428 receiving yards last year.
